2nd Amendment

I know.  Really, I know.  You don’t have to say anything; I get it.  It has been awhile since I have written anything and truth about it all is that there have just been way too many other things calling for my attention and posting anything of value simply got pushed to the bottom of my priorities.  And, truth be told, it probably will stay down there for the time being.

The purpose for this brief and simple update is to share pictures of my most recent purchases in support of my 2nd Amendment rights.  There is actually quite a long story that goes along with this event that includes having a warrant out for my arrest, going to court, getting a new license, and some other details that I will have to explain another day.

I’ve got some rounds for my shotgun already which I want to go fire off in the next couple of days, but ammo for 9mm is really difficult to find right now. I’m going to have to be very diligent in calling all the stores around to find out when they get their shipments in.  Plus, I’ll have to go find a shooting range near my home so I can go practice a bit and feel more comfortable handling a firearm.  In short, I’m pretty excited.

Draper Temple Dedication

CIMG2360 I thought I would just take a moment and mention the Draper Temple Dedication that happened a few weeks ago on March 22.  I was able to go through the open house twice over the course of the 3+ month open house that they had.  First was with my Aunt Melanie and her family back in January and then again at the beginning of March when my friend Janette who was visiting from Colorado was in town.  The Church was really making the most of the event because they were running huge tour buses back and forth from various nearby meeting houses up to the temple pretty much 10 hours a day, 6 days a week over the entirety of the open house.  A lot of non-members were glad to be able to see the temple and I’m sure it helped their view of the church after it has been getting a lot of bad media attention lately.  Anyways, I was glad to be able to attend the local broadcast of the dedication and didn’t want to forget the event.
